I have had back to school on my mind for a couple of weeks now, however with school supplies being shelved at most stores the reality of back to school is starting to sink in. :) For the past couple of years, I have transformed the wall over my computer area into an environmental print board. I ask families to send in boxes and wrappers that their child are familiar with and we make quite the collection. I wanted to get a jump start on my environmental print, so I have been collecting boxes this summer. Here is what I have gathered so far!
Along with getting a head start on enviromental print collecting, I wanted to make this more interactive in the classroom this year. My owls in the past have talked about what they saw on the board, but I did not do much more than put it up and allow discussion. With that in mind, I whipped this little page together to use these environmental print pieces and to work on letter identification. If you download it, please leave a comment. I love to hear what you all think!
