My little owls are definitely plugging away at their learning at this point, but I don't want those valuable foundation skills to disappear as we enter the world of challenge. When I made some of these new activities, I kept that in mind. It also adds for some great differentiation since I do have owls still working on getting some of these skills mastered.
I have added the following products to my TPT store and have marked them 20% off until this Friday! Click on the images to take a look at the product descriptions.
Now how about a GIVEAWAY! To help keep us all warm during this crazy winter, I will pick three different winners tomorrow to win a copy of each of my new products. Leave a comment telling if you had a snow day or cold day this week and how you are keeping your classroom thinking "warm" thoughts! :) Don't forget to leave your email address as well.

We had 2 cold days. My son has had a temp of 102 since Wednesday...so I was able to take him to the doctors yesterday and cuddle with him today. You stated...My little owls are definitely plugging away at their learning at this point, but I don't want those valuable foundation skills to disappear as we enter the world of challenge...I just LOVE how you worded that! Enjoy your day tomorrow back with your kiddos. I think they are going to need a lot of learning and moving going on! I would LOVE to win one of your products! I'm on snow/cold day #7 here in Michigan!!! We stay warm indoors by having a pretend snowball fight...a huge hit in kindergarten!

Cold day # 4! Staying warm today, but my yellow lab does not want to stay in like I do!!! brannankj@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm in California which means we don't get cold or snow days. I find myself jealous that you get these...at least right now when I'd love to have one!

Snow/Cold day both Monday and Tuesday this week. We also had 2 last week (+MLK Jr. Day). This month has been crazy!! In my classroom we have had a hot cocoa stand in Housekeeping and it is being changed to a Chinese restaurant for Chinese New Year tomorrow. :)

We've had for cold days since returning to school in 2014! It's never been this cold here before! We will be thinking warm tomorrow and taking lots of dance breaks since the kids can't go out for recess.

All the schools around me have been closed or delayed about 7 times just this month. However, I teach on an Army base and they do not believe in cold days or snow days. Our kids are "Army tough" lol. So my daughter has been warm and snug at home while I face the single digit temperatures to see my sweet kiddos at work :) Jealous of all the snow day posts I see

No cold or snow days even though we had -13 wind chill. Warm thoughts? What are those? By the way Ms. Pauley sent me. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI'm in Rockford, Illinois and have been home the last 2 days, as well as 4 other "cold" days. We have yet to have an actual "snow" day...although it looks as if next week it could happen for us!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had any cold or snow days yet. It always seems to be nice on the weekend and then gets cold during the week here, but nothing like the cold you're experiencing!

Definitely cold days...we seem to keep 'just barely' missing the actual snow! In Memphis, we don't get much snow anyway, so an 'actual snow day' is a BIG deal! I have a fireplace DVD that I play on the smart board as the kids come in...it makes it feel nice and cozy (the wood pops and everything!) campbella@scsk12.org

PS Ms Pauley sent me too :) I almost forgot
ReplyDeleteDay #7 in Toledo, Ohio. Tomorrow will make day 8. We've only had 6 full days and 2 half days this month. YIKES!!!! I am ready to head back to see my k-kids and get back into a routine.
ReplyDeleteoppps. forgot my email. momofcands@yahoo.com
DeleteWe have had 4 cold days so far this month including the past two days up in Shell Lake, WI. Time to go back to work tomorrow. Stay warm! dnllwllms@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI can't give you a cold story, as I am in Sunnyvale, California. And the city is true to its name. My father was from a little town in southwestern Wisconsin named Fennimore. I grew up a Packer fan and to this day...Go Pack Go. He would tell us stories of COLD. Love your blog and your creations.

Here in So CA we don't have any snow, but we sure could use some rain! Anyway, we force-bloomed some almond branches by brining a few branches into our classroom. After 2 weeks in a vase of water, "POOF!" The tiny buds bloomed! You can see them here: kfundamentals.blogspot.com :)
ReplyDelete2 hour early release day and today is no school for kids due to yesterday's snow. Teachers get a optional workday with a 2 hour delay. Warm thoughts....wish I would have brought my stuff he to plan so I wouldn't have to go in.

We have not had a snow or cold day this week and doesn't look like we will to finish the week off. Very strange for Nebraska. Mrs. Pauley's Kindergarten sent me over here to check your blog out. I like it!!

Hi! We're cold and snowy but not as cold as you! You win!!!! Here in NJ we just keep getting snow! I'm over it, but in my classroom we have been having sight word snow ball fights...I wrote sight words on clip art snowballs and copied tons of them...the kids all get their gloves on and i scatter the words in the middle of our circle....if the kids can grab and read the words, they keep them; if I yell snowball fight, they crumple and throw the words they kept...kind of crazy but fun! Would love this! franniek117@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteTampa, FL here...no cold or snow days in our past, present, or future! Thinking warm thoughts for everyone!!
